<p><strong>Just so you know:</strong></p>
<p>“Halo”, read as ha-lo, not hei-low, means “mix”.</p>
<p><strong>Why it&#8217;s in the list:</strong></p>
<p>I love halo-halo! Nothing beats the Filipino halo-halo. I have tried the iced desserts in  Thailand and Singapore, but still our halo-halo is still the best of  all! &#8211; <strong>Sophia Cabantog</strong></p>
<p>Crushed ice + milk + langka + macapuno + sago + jelly + nata de coco +  a bunch of other ingredients = refreshing and filling Pinoy dessert.</p>
<p>Add a scoop or two of ice cream to upgrade it to ”special” status.</p>
<p>Ice-themed desserts abound worldwide, but this is still my favorite.</p>
