If this is about the Philippines, then why, oh why is it written in English and not in our national language?

Good question. I asked the same when I was starting this. Close to 100% of Pinoys understand English, but a much smaller percentage of Fil-foreigners comprehend Filipino. In an effort to win them over, why not make things easy for everyone?

So may I comment in Filipino?

In the comments section and in all the correspondence you want to send us, feel free to use any language you wish.

Wait, I take that back. English and Filipino only, please. Unless you’re willing to translate everything for us.

Why do you loosely interchange the words “I” and “We”?

In many instances, I start off with my point of view, just to get the ball rolling. Then I collaborate with friends, family, and YOU to come up with a wider perspective.

Why are some of the photos in the website so fuzzy?

Because I took them myself. I know, I seriously need photography lessons. And I desperately need a better camera. Donations are most welcome.

The nice photos are from our awesome contributors (some of them were reluctant ones). I asked for permission from every single one of them. If you wish to use or copy any of their photos, you have to seek them out and ask for permission yourself.

Why is the website so plain-looking?

It’s a start.

I’d like the project to evolve from being crappy… to ho-hum… to it’s-okay… to not-bad-at-all… to gorgeous… to are-you-kidding-me-i-can’t-believe-you-pulled-it-off!

What do you plan to do with this website?

As the domain name suggests, the goal is to compile a list 7107 reasons to love the Philippines. I can’t do this alone (well, maybe I can, but it won’t be fun going solo). So I’m hoping you’d help. I’d like to treat this website like a baby. Together with your motherly (and fatherly) love, let’s feed her, dress her up, and teach her some manners.

  • take a photo of yourself eating, watching, riding, enjoying or whatever it is you have to do to appreciate the reason you posted.
